Welcome Message for Dr. Eric M. Lui as the New Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Engineering Sciences and Technologies.

Prof. Dr. Eric M. Lui is Laura J. and L. Douglas  Meredith Professor for Teaching Excellence in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Syracuse University, New York, USA.  He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering  (with emphasis in Structural Engineering) from Purdue University,  Indiana, USA.

Dr. Lui's current research interests are in the areas of structural stability, structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, structural materials, numerical modeling, engineering computations, computer-aided analysis and design of building and bridge structures, and green technologies and sustainability.  He has authored/coauthored numerous journal articles,  conference proceedings, special publications and research reports in these areas.  He is also a contributing author to a number of engineering monographs and technical handbooks.

Dr. Lui has been a long-time member of the  American Society of Civil Engineers and American Concrete Institute. He is currently serving as the editor-in-chief or on the editorial board of eleven engineering and scientific journals.   In addition, he is a reviewer of numerous engineering journals, and has been invited to serve on several U.S. and overseas proposal review panels.  He has been listed in more than ten Who's Who publications, and has served as a consultant for a number of state and local engineering firms.

Once again, a heartfelt welcome to Dr. Eric M. Lui as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Engineering Sciences and Technologies. Together, let us shape the future of engineering research and knowledge dissemination.
